Isaac how we love you!

I know these are several months old but I just had to post about Isaac. This is us at a chuckars game this summer. Ike was just to cute the whole time. And he loved it.
I love this picture. He is such a happy little boy and I couldn't be happier to be his mommy. Even though at times he drives me crazy and does dangerous things (like stand on chairs and trys to climb anything in sight). I love him so much and I can't believe how fast the last 15 months has flown by!

This is him, uninterested in his birthday cake. WE were the ones to put his hands in his cake.. Oh well.

This is him the next day with a leftover cupcake. he loved it. And I was the only one there to see this. Good thing we have a camera and a video camera as well.

To you my sweet, silly, baby boy. I love your crazy antics and love how cute you are when you give us kisses and snuggles. And I love how many times a day I pull you off of things and tell you no. Some day you will understand its because we love you (and not because we are the ruiners of fun)! I love how curious you are about EVERYTHING! Thank you for teaching me patience and perserverance. Joy and pain and frustration and everything inbetween. You have also let me remember how much fun it was to be a kid, the joy of reading the same book over and over night after night and so many other things. Daddy and I love you so much and we are so glad you came to join our family. It wouldn't be complete without you.
Now at 15 months he can say at least 18 different words/phrases (some are: what is that, outside, ball, bath tub, popcicle, (which is a bop), cheese, tree, no, don't, wow, yeah, woah, and some other basic words.) He signs a ton! He knows how to pray, and flex his muscles. He dances and has such good rhythm. He can tell you what the car, dog, cat, cow and snake say. He loves songs like Ring around the Rosie and Once there was a snowman and does the movements to them. He is learning how to catch a ball and is learning so many things SO quickly!! Today I asked him which way was up and he pointed to the ceiling. And then he pointed up again and said "moon". It is amazing how many things he can understand just by us asking and telling him things. He is so observant and is a quick learner.
Ike you crack us up and we love you bubba!!!
Love
Mommy and Daddy :)

Happy Holiday's

Yay!! Christmas is here! And we finally put our BEAUTIFUL tree up!! (Thanks again Jess and Heath!) needless to say Ike is completely obsessed! And I love having it here reminding me of the incredible season ahead of us!
here is Isaac - thrilled to have his picture taken yet again. He has been going up to the tree and saying ball ,ball, ball for about 15 minutes a day. Its cute. He can say bear now because one of the ornaments is a bear. So cute.

here is our tree!!! I love the colors and how pretty it is.. and I LOVE the STAR!!! (Thanks Camille!)

Isn't It beautiful! Its perfect for our tree! I wish this picture did it justice. Its more amazing up close.
I just wanted to tell all our family and friends how much I love them and how grateful I am for all of you! You truly make our lives amazing. I am also so grateful for My savior and redeemer Jesus Christ and My Heavenly Father. I am so grateful Christ came as a baby to show us the way back home. I am so grateful for this season where we get to help others more and be surrounded by family, friends and service. We love you all and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

AAHHHH!!

Okay today's post is all about getting rid of my stress. (I will try not to play the "wo is me" card.)
Okay so starting out last night.. We thought JC was all good with his major and his clusters because everything was approved and he was all good to graduate in April. Well.. Curse a certain jerk of a professor/advisor for JC... there were classes that JC needs that this person didn't tell him about and doesn't offer for another year.. And they don't even offer his emphasis anymore... CURSE YOU Brother __________. So JC decided (after trying to figure it all out for an hour and ending up with the scenario of NOT graduating in April) that he would look at graduating with another emphasis or major just to be done because he will be able to get hired with a company in his desired field anyway. So now after much looking and stressing he will Graduate in Health Science with a Public Health emphasis instead of Occupational Health and Safety. Whew.......
With that done it was then 12:30 and we went to bed. well out joyous child woke me up at 3:30 with those stupid molars again. As he has been doing for a week or so just not so early (usually 4:30ish). So I get up and he doesn't want to go back to sleep. So I sit on the couch with him for an hour and finally he goes back down .... for 45 minutes... ahhhh! Then we sit on the couch for another 2 hours and he finally goes back down for an hour... Then it was 8 and he wouldn't go back down so we got up... Me getting only about 4 hours of sleep. So naturally my patience is dangerously low already and Isaac has to be especially crazy today. He is so tactile that sometimes its ridiculous! He has to touch everything a million times even though he KNOWS he isn't supposed to. But naturally he had to be on his worst behavior after being the perfect child yesterday on our 6 hour shopping trip to Idaho Flls. So here is a list of things he has done today... the kid is so busy! This is all before 2pm.
  1. Figures out how to open his water bottle and proceeds to throw it all over the floor the couch and anything within five feet. thankfully no electronics got wet.
  2. Smacked his head on the couch a few times. and then reeled back and almost knocks himself out...
  3. Starts playing with the Garbage Can (which is a HUGE No No.) Then tips it over on himself while trying to get in it.
  4. Poops in the tub... again. (I needed to clean it again anyway right?) I just hadn't planned on doing it today.
  5. Popsicle gets spilled all over the floor. (we got to mop again as well)
  6. Crushes cereal all over in the carpet... vacuum comes out to play as well.
  7. sneaks into our room and finds my beads for making bracelets ... THROWS it and they fly everywhere... That's when I told him he needed a nap

I love him dearly but some days he just drives me crazy! I apologize for my rantings but I needed to get it off my chest. Anyway. I'm going to take a nap now before he wakes up. Thanks for listening.

So far behind!!!

k I know that I have been a slacker! but we have been so busy and i am just finding out that life with a toddler is CRAZY!!! But its so fun! So.. JC and I have been married for 2 years now and Isaac is ONE!!! I can't believe it.
So here is a little blurb on what's going on for each of us right now..

JC - is in his second to last semseter! He will graduate in April!!! He is doing his internship on campus as well as going to school full time and working part time at Best Buy!! He is my hero! I don't know what I would do without him. He had a birthday in August and we had a fun party. We also went on a vacation to Boise and Orofino Idaho for JC's 10th class reunion and that was so much fun to go see all his old friends and everything! ( I promise I will post more very soon of all these happenings.. especially more pictures!)

Haylee - I am still a stay at home mom. and LOVING it more than ever. I get to literally chase Ike around and watch him grow up. I have my first ever voice student and its going great! I love it and am trying to get more students soon. Thanks to wonderful neighbors and friends I can teach a few students and have Isaac taken care of.

Isaac - He is getting more sweet and silly everyday. He loves music, animals and being outside. He dances to every song he hears and in church he leads to the music. its entertaining to say the least. He just turned one last week and has gotten 3 teeth in the last week and a half. So his total is 8 now. He loves corn, any fruit, stir fry and ice cream. Isaac took his first steps yesterday so as soon as he gets more confident I will post a video. His stats at one year were as follows:
Height: 32.5 inches tall - 99th percentile
Weight: 23 lbs 14 oz - 66th percentile
Head Circumference: 19.5 inches - 87th percentile

He is long and lean and can reach anything he wants.
Anyway I need to go. I have a crazy child running wild!
We hope everyone is doing well! I promise I will post soon. Maybe tonight after Ike is in bed and such.

Catch Up

Before the bandages were taken off the staples

at home with the awesome brace

We had to put this on his knee to make sure Dr. Mills didn't cut the wrong one. Every time we went into the office he said ok its the left knee we are doing right? NONONO! the RIGHT ONE! we didn't take any chances

Lounging at home

This is May 7th the day after JC's surgery. I didn't have the camera the first day. We didn't know we would be there for 14 hours that day. Anyway really long and I had to stay at home that night with Isaac. Anyway this was just as we were getting discharged. (he's holding his arm up so his IV didn't bleed much).

Still on the morphine. sweet

JC taught at BYUI a few days before his surgery and this was him going to work.. all spiffy.

I love you babe!

9 month stats

Ok we went to the doctors on Wednesday and here are the results:

Height: 31.5 inches tall - 100%
Weight: 22 lbs - 71%
Head Circumfrence: 18.5 inches - 90%

So needless to say Isaac is still a big boy. His weight has leveled off but he keeps growing taller.
oh and drum roll please!!!

on June 15th (his 9 month birthday)
ISAAC STARTED CRAWLING!!!!!
more to come later!

Recent Happenings

Isaac is fasinated with JC's guitar. He loves when JC pulls them out. A sure fire way to stop tears..

And I cut my hair about a month ago.. Its grown some since then but I really like it.

I swore I would never have bangs again. nevermind

Surprise!!! (did he scare you?) This is the crazy child that I love so much.. He loves to yell and make noise.. In the middle of sacrament meeting no less. little turkey

He is so silly. He will sit on the floor and squeal!

and suck on his bib... good thing its spit proof!

And his sweet faux hawk we give him almost everyday!! Its the only hair on his head that growing really that and behind is ears in a little longer than the rest too.

Isn't he so stinkin cute with the hawk?? I think so.

videoOk so Isaac has been getting more adventerous lately and has been getting into everything he can either pull himself up on or that he can scoot over to. Nothing under 2 feet is safe! He has started demolishing a really cute wooden basket I got for a bridal shower gift and pulls books off shelves and you name it he will do it. But its funny and cute other than we have bigger messes to clean up as he goes to bed.. Little silly. But his new thing is that he is So close to CRAWLING!!! (YIKES) This brings much anticipation and dread. Gone are the days where I could leave him in one room and come back to him playing in the same spot with the same toy. Now if he wants something bad enough he will find a way to get it, even if it means he tips over and bonks his head or gets stuck somewhere where he cant get out. And he can now pull himself up on his crib. That's where JC found him the other night... naughty boy. He kind of army crawls around sometimes.. Not too much though. His biggest accomplishment is the one in the video.. Up on all fours and rocking back and forth trying to figure out how to move where he wants to go.

He is really getting the motions of walking down as well. He was holding onto my legs today and I was slowly walking backwards and he was walking with me. It was really cute. He got so excited! We help him walk through our house and he thinks that is the best.

Isaac has also gotten really friendly lately. He will now jump into random people's arms even if they aren't trying to hold him. For Example.. Saturday we went to JC's 10th year class reunion for Shelley High and one of JC's friends was talking to us and Isaac jumped into her arms.. And didn't want to come back to either of us!!! SHOCK! He never does that. But there are several people that he has done that to in just two days.. (a couple at church today)

Wednesday we go in for Isaac's 9 month appointment! He can't be that old already! sniff.. I will post his stats on Wednesday (unless I change his appointment so JC can go with me)
